There is nothing wrong with it being AT. It's not designed for track racing it's a 1/4 mile performance and some freeway pulls. How ever My Syclone is equipped with Auto 4L80E soon to be paddle shifter, coil overs many suspension upgrades and will hang with many sports compacts out there.

Same block not same compression. In other words its not even close to the same. A tubro on your stock 4.3L Vortec is still do able. Just figure on only runing 8 psi. You will not get the same benefits from a turbo as a sy or ty. Just buy one a Syclone or Typhoon. They are cheap.
